Please note: All membership applications are submitted for review to the membership committee and Board for approval. The Membership Committee may interview you and obtain information concerning your business activities, to determine whether an offer of membership accords with the RGVFDA’s goals, objectives, and public image. The Board may deny any application in its sole discretion.
We look forward to your membership and your participation in our meetings, dinners, and activities.

Mission Statement
We, the members of the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association, Inc. and the Funeral Directors and Embalmers, residing in the counties of Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Orleans, Wayne and Wyoming, recognizing the high purpose of the Funeral Directing profession, and aware of the great trust and confidence reposed in the profession by the public, do hereby establish the following Aims and Purposes of the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association to be:
To preserve and enhance the high standards of integrity and honor existing in the Funeral Directing profession so as to better serve in the public interest.
To promote uniformity and certainty in the usages and practices of the funeral directing profession.
To promote better understanding and appreciation on the part of the public of the function of the funeral directing profession.
To further advance the professional education of the members of the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association and assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training for all persons seeking to enter the profession.
We are most effective when we all work together to not only give of our professional guidance to those who entrust their loved ones to us, but when we also give of our wisdom and experience to help each other. Stay informed by seeing our Current & Past Newsletters.
